Michael Ward returns for the second year to headline the Perth Hills Live Music Spring Festival. Michael hails from the coastal swamps of our south west and has been playing live music for over 25 years. The past 12 months Michael has toured across Australia, played festivals with elite headliners such as The Waifs, Eskimo Joe, The Wolfe Brothers & Travis Collins as well as W.A tours with Andrew Swift, Katy Steele and Steph strings.
His trio of touring troubadours are coming hot and primed to put on their best show yet. He's big, he's hairy and he's bringing you his big stage energy!

Liquid Hearts is a young punk rock band launched in the Perth hills in 2022. The band is four high school friends: Cyrus on vocals, Will on Bass, Jemma on drums and Ash (Alex) on guitar. They blend classic rock with contemporary punk to create a sound that can hype up a crowd and provoke intimate thought when listened to closely.
Since their establishment in 2022 Liquid Hearts has performed at dozens of events alongside other promising and up and coming bands in W.A. Boasting a strong repertoire of covers and originals Liquid Hearts is a high energy group who are currently working on their first studio album "Teenage Nightmare" to follow up on their single "Be Kind" (2022).

Vocal trio Trilogy has been performing since 2017. Their blend of harmony, ukulele style, and diverse repertoire has created their own distinctive sound. Songs include popular numbers alongside some lesser known, all arranged with Trilogy's own interpretation and harmonies.

Kalamunda Sing is a local community based, four part choir with a wide repertoire spanning from Gershwin, the Beatles to musical theatre and traditional pieces. The choir has performed extensively and to acclaim in the Perth hills and at the Dunsborough Song Fest. Led by Melissa Argus and accompanied by the excellent pianist Nicholas Williams.

Northern Lights Music W.A. aims to provide opportunities for young musicians and those not so young, but young at heart, to grow in experience, confidence and enjoyment through orchestral participation.
Likewise the orchestra aims to provide the local community with oppportunities to enjoy performances that are fun, affordable and accessible.

Burnt Pearl are Liam on guitar and Dylan on drums and vocals. Two 11 year old cousins from the Perth hills who share a love for 90s grunge and 80s metal! Their focus on stage is pulling in the crowd with non - stop energy, while in the garage they are building a set of their own original songs and searching for that next killer riff!

Lakefield Temple is an original synth rock solo-project-turned-band inspired by bands like The Cure, Alvvays and The Killers, delivering songs about hope and loss drenched in big guitars and swirling synths.

Led by the Director, Leah, this is the youngest group within the very successful and established Kalamunda Youth Swing Band (KYSB) organisation. The group plays a range of pop, jazz and rock pieces on brass, keyboard, drums and string instruments. Such a talented and entertaining young group!

Enchanted Bells is a handbell duo of Kelvin and Carol. The bells are rung "four in hand". Both hand bells and hand chimes are used in their performances and create a beautiful melodic sound that drifts over audiences.
Carol is also Director of "Handbells in Peel" and the W.A. representative of the "Handbell Society of Australasia Inc."
The duo of Kelvin and Carol travel and perform widely to promote handbells and chimes in Western Australia.

Bird Girl are a Perth hills based original, indie four piece. Returning for a second year at the Spring Festival, Bird Girl will open the Headline Independent Artists Concert on Saturday evening, 28 October, 2023. The band is: Alex on guitar, Elrina on vocals and guitar, Reuben on drums and Eloise on bass. The band will play an original set including material from their forthcoming EP.
